Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu claims that the extremist organization Hamas is blocking the progress of the Gaza truce talks.

In his opinion, the pressure on the organization must be increased before the ongoing negotiations in Cairo starting next week.

Hamas has accused Israel and the United States, which acts as one of the mediators in the negotiations, of a policy of dictation. Hamas also claims that Netanyahu is blocking an agreement on a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange.

US Secretary of State by Antony Blinken is scheduled to meet with Netanyahu and other Israeli leadership on Monday. From Israel, Blinken will continue to Egypt to negotiate on Tuesday.
