Katarzyna Niewiadoma won the Tour de France on Sunday 18 August with just four seconds ahead of Dutchwoman Demi Vollering, who won the final stage at the top of Alpe d’Huez. Third in the two previous editions of the Women’s Tour, the Polish rider held on in the final metres to keep the yellow jersey and succeed Vollering in the prize list.
