France: 3D printing could revolutionize drug manufacturing

France 3D printing could revolutionize drug manufacturing

3D printing of drugs is beginning to make its way into French and international hospitals. This technology makes it possible to personalize the dosages, forms and flavors of treatments. At the Gustave-Roussy Institute, in the suburbs of Paris, two 3D printers are already being used to create antibiotics, particularly in the form of chewing gum for children. Clinical trials in France should begin soon.
