During Sunday, there is a very high risk of forest and land fires in large parts of eastern Götaland, inner Svealand and the southern Norrland coast. This also applies to Öland, Gotland and southern Sweden and Skåne. On Gotland, the local fire risk is said to be extremely high.
– One must be very careful with fires in the coming days, and anything that can cause open flames and sparks, for example from a machine, says Torbjörn Simannmeteorologist at SMHI.

Then the rain comes
The dry weather will continue on Monday. The warning of very high fire risk has then been extended to also apply to the Skaraborg area.
How it will turn out on Tuesday is still difficult to predict, but in the middle of the week we should be able to breathe.
“On Wednesday, heavy rain will come across the country,” says Simann.
