Elliot Page thinks Umbrella Academy finale on Netflix makes sense

In an interview with Decider, the actor explained that the shock didn’t last long when he learned how the Netflix series would end:

When I first read it, of course I was. I mean, I wasn’t really shocked. The ending actually made sense to me.

Page is pretty much alone in this, as Umbrella Academy fans have been loudly complaining online since the release of Season 4 about the decisions made in the finale of the popular series. However, Page no longer thinks about online discussions, as he made clear in the interview. As a result, the disappointed fan reactions to the Umbrella Academy finale largely passed him by:

I haven’t looked into it. I’m not really a person who spends a lot of time online. To be honest, I’ve cut that out of my life a bit in the last few years. So I largely stay out of such things, for reasons you can probably imagine.

After five years, however, Page is sad about the end of the Netflix series, but is now devoting himself to other projects. His latest film, Close to You, will be released in cinemas in the USA on August 16, 2024. It is not yet known whether and when the film will be released in cinemas or on streaming in this country.
