Joensuu Maila surprised Sotkamo Jymy in the opening of the quarterfinals.
The Superpesis men’s quarterfinals started on Saturday. There was a minor surprise in Sotkamo, when Joensuu went for a 2-1 win.
Vimpelin Veto, on the other hand, stayed at Saarikent under the reprimands of Kempeleen Kiri. The home team was better with a score of 1–0.
In the other two semifinal pairs, KPL-KiPa and Manse-PattU will meet. Three wins are required for a place in the semi-finals.
