Ford Recalls 85,000 Vehicles Over Engine Fire Risk

Ford will delay production of new three row electric vehicles in

(Telestock) – Ford Motora major US car manufacturer, is recalling approximately 85,000 Explorer SUVs equipped with the Police Interceptor Utility package for the risk of engine fires. This was announced by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a U.S. government agency that is part of the Department of Transportation.

In the event of an engine failure, engine oil and fuel can be released into the engine compartment and accumulate near ignition sources such as hot engine or exhaust components, resulting in risk of fire in the engine compartmentreads a note from the agency.
