While Russia’s military intervention against Ukraine, which started on February 24, continues, the European Union (EU) is preparing to announce new sanctions. It was stated that an agreement could be reached on the fifth round of sanctions, including the ban on coal imports, today or tomorrow.
NEW SANCTIONS FROM EU TO RUSSIA
European Union (EU) foreign policy representative Josep Borrell made a statement on the fifth round of EU sanctions against Russia, including the ban on coal imports.
Borrell, in a statement before the NATO meeting, used the expressions “Maybe this afternoon or tomorrow at the latest” regarding the agreement on the sanctions and added that the oil embargo on Russia will be discussed on Monday.
