US, University of Michigan: Consumer Confidence Improves More Than Expected in August

(Finance) – Expected improvement American consumer confidence to August 2024. According to preliminary data from the University of Michigan, consumer sentiment is estimated to have risen to 67.8 points from 66.4 points in July and against a rise to 66.7 points estimated by analysts.

In the same period the index on current situation dropped to 60.9 points (from 62.7 points), while the index on waiting improved to 72.1 points from the previous 68.8.
