While she herself reveals the truth about her great love Johan de Jong Skierus.

Sjöström’s career
After the great successes during the Summer Olympics in Paris 2024, she has now collected a whopping 98 international medals over the years, of which 54 are gold medals, making the Swede the most medal-laden swimmer in Europe of all time. With 3 Olympic golds, Sjöström is also tied for first on the list of Swedish sportswomen in the Olympics ever.

“Super-Sarah” has also broken a large number of world records over the years and has no plans to end her career either, despite the fact that she has reached 31 years of age. The Swede is already looking forward to the next Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028, which will be her sixth Olympiad in her career.
Sarah’s love
By her side in recent years, she has had her boyfriend Johan de Jong Skierusthey got married secretly during the summer and in September it’s time for a big wedding together with all the loved ones in Italy. Now Sjöström reveals the truth about the great love of her life.
– We are getting married at the end of September near Pienza. For a long time I thought it would be cool to “kidnap” all the guests and get married in Italy. Then I got in touch with a Swedish girl who knows Italian and plans Swedish traditional weddings. It will be a three-day wedding with 95–100 guests. It will be wonderful, she says in an interview with Aftonbladet.
The blue and yellow swimming queen tells more about her relationship with her new husband Johan and how it all started.
– Johan and I met through a mutual friend, at a New Year’s party. Six months later, he would move to Lyon to study law in French. ‘Well, what fun!’, I said. He thought we’d see each other when we saw each other, hardly wanted to sit down and talk because he was moving. To me, living the life I live, it was nothing strange. I said we can make it work, and we did, she tells the evening newspaper.
– We complement each other. He is calm and takes things a little slower. Yes, it could take a hundred years. I can be a bit unstructured but it goes very fast. I’m more of a project manager, which I think women often are. Johan works at a bank, is extremely well educated and generally educated. I never have to google, can just ask him. He has many hobbies and is always ready to go. One bag is packed for squash, one for fencing, one for climbing. I usually wonder where all the towels go but he has one in every bag. Johan is very busy but I have helped him calm down a bit.
