  • It is considered hopeless that the animal’s suffering will be remedied.
  • The owner of the animal is unknown or cannot be reached.
  • It is otherwise deemed to be absolutely necessary from an animal welfare point of view.
  • – Even if the conditions according to the first paragraph are not met, the Police Authority may decide to immediately dispose of animals that are kept in violation of a decision on animal bans, Nyman explains to Nyheter24.
