The A2 is closed but it is still busy. Trucks and large equipment drive back and forth to remove asphalt from the road, take it away and lay new asphalt. “The road is due for maintenance. To prevent holes from forming that will inconvenience road users, we are fixing it up,” says Johan de Boer of Rijkswaterstaat.
