It has gone very quickly for 22-year-olds Edwin Anger. Almost two years ago, he made his debut as a senior at the World Cup with his very first season in the A national team.

Then he immediately impressed by delivering a real success winter as a debutant. Hedemorasonen lined up final places in the sprint but still never really managed to reach all the way to a podium place, but had to settle for a bunch of fourth places.

The last ski season was significantly better and Anger got his well-deserved breakthrough at the very highest level. The 22-year-old sprint specialist managed two individual podium finishes last winter, with a second-place finish at the Tour de Ski and a third-place finish in Canmore.

Edvin’s revelation

Ahead of the next ski season, the expectations are even higher for young Anger to take the next step to approach the top world elite. But also to secure his very first championship medal in the upcoming World Ski Championships.

It is not only on skis that Edvin Anger is fast, but now he also reveals which sport he was best at in the summer Olympics and then wants to challenge the world’s best.
– Well, I probably tried to challenge Noah Lyles (who won Olympic gold) in the 100 meters. I’m actually quite okay, but without training I probably wouldn’t have been able to challenge him, he says with a laugh to Aftonbladet.

The Swedish skier is also asked about the ugliest thing he has said to someone on the ski trail.
– Well, I don’t know if I can say it like this. Then people will probably be angry all around, says Edvin and also admits the absolute worst thing he knows.
– I hate snakes.
