Have you ever wondered if your behavior shows some form of intelligence, or even genius? According to psychology, there are subtle signs that can show it. Here are some.
You talk to yourself, you daydream a lot during the day, you have a strong creative potential… These signs – and others in addition – could show, according to psychology, that you are endowed with an intelligence above average. We could even call it genius. What are they?
You ask a lot of questions.
This is a recurring remark made by your loved ones or your work colleagues: you ask a lot of questions. Asking questions shows that you are willing to learn and explore things that you do not understand. It also demonstrates that you have a curious mind and a greater willingness to learn and understand.
You are daydreaming
Do you often have your head in the clouds? People who possess genius traits often have this dreamy nature. So it’s an indicator that you’re probably smarter than you think. So don’t feel guilty: as long as it doesn’t affect your performance, it’s not a bad thing.
You are single
It can be hard to be single when all your friends are in relationships or married. You think you’ll never find the right person. It could also be a sign of your genius. Previous studies have shown that highly intelligent people take their time in starting a relationship because they’re looking for partners with a similar intellectual level.
You are messy
Cluttered spaces are a source of anxiety for most people. But for intelligent people, it is a way to encourage their creativity. So don’t feel guilty about the clutter in your home!
You talk to each other
Talking to yourself is often perceived as strange. However, this practice is actually positive. It demonstrates your ability to process things more quickly and more efficiently.
You like solitude
Most people enjoy being alone, from time to time. But true geniuses genuinely enjoy it and seek solitude, on a daily basis. So much so that it can become a way of life for them, causing others to view them as antisocial.
You are anxious
An estimated 4% of the world’s population suffers from an anxiety disorder, but if you’re highly anxious, it may be because you’re smart. Research shows that those with higher intelligence tend to suffer from mental health issues, including anxiety. To help, meditation, deep breathing exercises, or exercise are all good ways to reduce anxiety and improve your overall mental health.
You listen more than you speak
When talking with friends, you tend to be calm and engage in active listening. This is related to your quiet and reserved nature, which leads you to listen to others, rather than talk. This behavior also demonstrates great intelligence.
You are eager to try new things
Are you hungry for new experiences? This is probably due to your curiosity, a trait associated with intelligence. Your mind is constantly yearning to see, learn, or experience new things.
Feeling good in your body, feeling good in your head!
You are creative
Whether it’s painting, writing, or anything else, being creative allows you to engage your brain and approach things in a new and original way. Another trait of your genius, no doubt!
