Tottenham punished their player who breathed in the joy gas

Tottenham have banned midfielder Yves Bissouma for one match.

Tottenham, who plays in the English Premier League, has set up a midfielder Yves Bissouman one match suspension. Last weekend, Bissouma uploaded a video to social media where he was seen breathing from a balloon containing nitrous oxide.

With the decision, Malian Bissouma will not travel with the team to the Leicester-Tottenham match on Monday.

– The door is open for him, and hopefully we can help him understand that his decisions affect more than just himself. Hopefully this will help him make better decisions in the future, said the club’s coach Ange Postecoglou.

Possession of nitrous oxide for recreational use has been a crime in Britain since 2023. It can even result in a prison sentence in the country. Nitrous oxide can be legally used for pain relief, for example during childbirth.
