The number of inhabitants in the municipalities of Woudenberg and Vijfheerenlanden (at that time still three municipalities: Leerdam, Vianen and Zederik) has increased the most in percentage terms compared to 2016: 16.6 and 14.3 percent. In almost every municipality the number of inhabitants is in the plus, except one: the municipality of IJsselstein experienced a shrinkage of 2 percent.
