Elfsborg ready for Europa League playoffs

After 1–1 in the first meeting, Elfsborg is ahead with 3–1 overall.

What a fun match. We are stable the whole match, they don’t create very much, says Ahmed Qasem in Sportbladet’s broadcast.

Michael Baidoo opened the scoring for Elfsborg in the 68th minute, capitalizing on a miss in the Rijeka defense and slotting the ball into the goal.

With just over ten minutes left, Ahmed Qasem made it 2-0 after a fine attack by the home team.

I think I’m doing a good job. The team helps me, and I help the team today. It’s fun to give back to the supporters after my red card I caused in the last game (against Gais), says Qasem.

In the final qualification stage for the Europa League, Elfsborg will face Norwegian Molde.

With the promotion to the playoffs, the Borås club has the worst secured games in the autumn Conference League. Elfsborg can play there if there is a loss in the last qualifying stage for the Europa League.
