Jyvaskylas Kirittaret secured their place in the semi finals Sports

The rest of the women’s Superpesis quarter-final series are suspended on Saturday.

On Thursday, Jyväskylä Kirittäri became the first team to secure a place in the semifinals of the women’s Superpesis this season.

Kirittäret advanced by winning the semifinal series against Rauma Fera in three straight matches. Thursday’s decisive match ended in periods 2–0 (4–3, 3–1).

The other women’s Superpesis quarter-final series will be interrupted for the first time this coming Saturday.

Manse PP leads the quarter-final series against Vaasan Mailattari with a 2–1 match win. On Thursday, the team from Tampere improved its performance from the previous game and won the third match with a clear run difference in periods 2–0 (5–0, 6–1).

On Thursday, Virkiä of Lapuan took his second bid for the next place against Pori’s Pesäkarhu. In this match too, there was no doubt about the winner, as the home team was clearly stronger in periods 2–0 (7–1, 6–2).

In Seinäjoki, the meeting between Maila-Jussie and Joensuu Maila was tighter. Home team Maila-Jussit won the first period in the last inning Aino-Kaisa to the continent by hitting a run. When the second period ended in a draw, the success of the first period was enough to win the whole match in periods 1–0 (1–0, 1–1).

Thus, this series of matches is also in a 2–1 situation, and Maila-Jussei has a chance to secure a place in the top four on Saturday.

The fifth games of the match series will be played on Sunday if necessary.
