West Bank: Palestinian homes targeted in wave of Israeli ‘domicides’

West Bank Palestinian homes targeted in wave of Israeli domicides

In the occupied West Bank, raids by the Israeli army have continued, hitting the Palestinian cities of Nablus, Jenin, Hebron, Bethlehem, Jericho and Ramallah in turn. On the evening of Monday, July 12, Israeli soldiers invaded Ramallah, the seat of the Palestinian Authority, in a military operation aimed at destroying the home of a Palestinian prisoner. This practice, described as “domicide” by the UN rapporteurs, a combination of “home” and “homicide”, allows us to put a name to the violence represented by the destruction or expropriation of “home”, but also the social and psychological trauma that goes with it.
