Finland Anniina Ahtosalo and Lotta Henttalan stocks did not experience major changes in the road cycling women’s Tour of France.
In the fifth stage, Ahtosalo’s ranking was 76th and Henttala’s 101st. Despite the big difference in ranking, the two clocked the same time from the stage. The third Finnish representative Wilma Aintila was the 129th of the stage.
After five stages, the Finnish duo are 106th and 109th in the overall competition. The Finnish women are more than 20 minutes behind the Pole, who leads the overall competition Katarzyna Niewiadomaa.
Ahtosalo is seventh in the points competition and Henttala is 13th.
On Thursday, a 152.5-kilometer section was pedaled. The victory of the fifth stage was taken by the Hungarian Blanka Vas.
On Friday, the 159.2 kilometer long stage will be pedaled. The Tour of France ends on Sunday.
