Ukraine has full control in the Russian city of Sudzha

Yesterday, Ukrainian state television broadcast footage of troops raising Russian flags in the city and shouting “Glory to Ukraine”, writes Reuters. Now Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announces that they have taken control of the city, according to AFP.

“The army has reported the completion of the liberation of the city of Sudzha from the Russian military,” he writes.

“We are moving forward in the Kursk region,” writes army chief Oleksandr Syrskyj in a post on Telegram, according to the news agency.

The Ukrainian army has also established a military administrative center in the city.

Ukraine states that it has taken control of approximately 1,150 square kilometers in Kursk.
