Former US President Donald Trump promised in a speech on Wednesday, among other things, lower prices for American consumers if he wins the election this fall.
The Trump campaign had promised in advance that the speech in North Carolina would contain significant developments in the economic field.
Trump spent much of the speech attacking his rival, Democratic presidential hopeful Kamala Harris. He claimed, among other things, that she will exacerbate what he described as an ongoing economic crisis.
As for his own intentions, the former president promised to see that energy and electricity prices are halved within 18 months of a Trump administration taking office. He also promised to “rapidly drive down” prices in general.
– Vote for Trump and your income will rise, your savings will grow, Trump said.
Kamala Harris is giving a speech in the same state on Friday when she is expected to make promises on the economic front.
