His wife has played so much Baldur’s Gate 3 that it has completely changed her

A woman has apparently played so much Baldur’s Gate 3 that her behavior would now make her fit into the game herself.

Over the past few weeks, a woman has undergone an astonishing transformation after spending countless hours playing Baldur’s Gate 3, at least according to her partner. RandomToxicSwede reports on Reddit that the RPG has influenced his partner so much that her entire behavior has changed – in a way that is reminiscent of James Bond villains.

What exactly does he say? On reddit, RandomToxicSwede reports that the woman has spent countless hours playing Baldur’s Gate 3 in recent weeks. This has not only affected her speech habits, but also her body language. Instead of her normal accent, she now speaks with a distinguished British accent. Her body language also seems different now – like that of a James Bond villain.

Astarion is obviously to blame

How did this happen? She would now call RandomToxicSwede Darling and use many other buzzwords that come from one of the most popular and charismatic companions in the game – Astarion, of course.

The reddit user also says the following:

I haven’t played the game myself, but I’m constantly getting story snippets from her gaming sessions. The other day she wanted to show me something on Instagram and the platform just recommended a series of pictures of this vampire guy. She now spends a lot of her free time listening to interviews with the voice actors from this game.

Astarion seems to particularly like them – and it’s no wonder. Lots of players rave about him and are just dying to break through his cool shell. Many are also fans of his voice actor, Neil Newborn. He’s got it.

Apparently sometimes too good, because Larian Studios had to slow down the voice actor because things got a bit too hot during recording.

RandomToxicSwede explains that his partner has been influenced by pop culture before. When they watched Breaking Bad together, she started saying “bitch” at every opportunity. She’s a huge One Piece fan, and every time she watches it, there’s a week-long phase where she uses random Japanese phrases and acts like she’s in the anime.

Finally, the reddit user adds, probably jokingly: “Please send me help. I’m afraid that’s it now. I don’t want to date a Brit.” Players roast Astarion with a super weapon, discover secret and funny dialogues
