The world’s largest neighborhood brought to life by a special 3D printing system is nearing completion in the US as follows.

When 3D printing is mentioned, the first thing that comes to mind is small-sized three-dimensional printers, but the technique has been used in many different areas in recent years. For example, right now a large neighborhood is being created in Austin, USA, with the Icon company’s printer called “Vulcan”. The walls of the houses are printed layer by layer using a special mixture developed here. In the neighborhood, which was announced to consist of 100 different houses, the parts of the houses other than their walls are completed by regular workers. The company, which prepares single-story spacious houses, places solar panels on the roofs of the houses and establishes a smart infrastructure. Different steps are being taken in Turkey on this issue.. For example Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has been working on building real structures based on three-dimensional printers for a long time. This system, which was introduced a long time ago, was last seen on the YouTube account of IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu. The sharing of the video made a splash.

To the video “We are proud of this work. We have accomplished another first in Turkey. We started to build environmentally friendly and durable structures with 3D printers in a very short time. We started to receive many orders from home and abroad.” The explanation was made and many studies were revealed. Behind it was exactly İSTON (Istanbul Concrete Elements and Ready-Mixed Concrete Factories Inc.) is involved in the project, and thanks to a specially prepared robotic arm system and a specially developed mortar, the structure can be printed layer by layer.
