Messiless Miami was eliminated from the North American leagues cup

The Leagues Cup, organized in the summer, is attended by MLS teams from the United States and Canada, as well as teams from the Mexican league.

Finnish player Robert Taylor missed playing minutes when reigning champion Inter Miami’s streak ended in a quarterfinal loss to Columbus Crew in the North American Leagues Cup. Uruguayan striker Diego Rossi with his equalizing and winning goal, moved Columbus into the top eight.

Miami played in the match without its injured superstar Lionel Messi. The Argentinian striker injured his ankle in the Copa America final played in mid-July.

Taylor also stayed on the bench in Miami’s previous playoff game against Toronto. Last summer, Taylor received worldwide attention in the League Cup matches, when the Finnish winger scored a total of four goals alongside Messi in the competition.
