(Finance) – Positive ending for the main European stock exchanges that spent the first part of the session in a cautious mood waiting for producer prices in the United States that, having risen less than expected, have strengthened expectations of a rate cut by the Federal Reserve, in the September meeting. Now the eyes of investors are focused on the inflation numbersarriving tomorrow.
Among the news of the day, TIM signed with Ardian and Daphne 3 the agreement for the sale of the residual stake in Invitewhich is based on a valuation of Inwit shares equal to 10.43 euros and entails for TIM an additional proceeds compared to the 2024 guidance, of approximately 250 million euros. Still in the telecommunications sector, following the announcement of the acquisition of Vodafone Italia, Swisscom formally notified the transaction to the Competition and Market Authority.
On the macroeconomic front, the unemployment rate UK’s GDP stood at 4.2% in June, up from 4.4% the previous month and 4.5% expected by analysts; Spain July inflation was confirmed to have slowed to 2.8% on an annual basis; in Germany Investor sentiment fell more than expected in August, with the economic confidence index falling to 19.2 from 41.8 in July.
Milan Stock Exchange slightly upwhile the rest of Euroland is trading at parity. Meanwhile, the New York Stock Exchange is positive with theS&P-500which marks an increase of 1.13%.
THE’Euro / US Dollar maintains a substantially stable position at 1.095. The substantially stablegoldwhich continues the session at the levels of the day before at 2,469.3 dollars per ounce. Oil (Light Sweet Crude Oil) is down (-1.76%) and stands at 78.65 dollars per barrel.
Slight decrease in spreadwhich drops to +141 basis points, while the yield on the 10-year BTP stands at 3.57%.
Among the Euroland indices small steps forward for Frankfurtwhich marks a marginal increase of 0.48%, a moderately positive day for Londonwhich rises by a fractional +0.3%, and a session without momentum for Pariswhich reflects a moderate increase of 0.35%. Piazza Affari recorded a slight increase, with the FTSE MIBwhich ends at 32,006 points; along the same lines, a slight increase for the FTSE Italia All-Sharewhich reaches 34,118 points.
At Piazza Affari it appears that the value of trades in the last one it was equal to 1.73 billion euros, with an increase of 194.7 million euros, equal to 12.70% compared to the previous 1.53 billion; while the traded volumes went from 0.28 billion shares in the previous session to 0.35 billion shares on 08/13/2024.
At the top of the list of the most important titles of Milan, we find Nexi (+2.43%), Brunello Cucinelli (+1.45%), Hera (+1.40%) and Prysmian (+1.29%).
The worst performances, however, were recorded on Telecom Italiawhich closed at -1.45%.

Among the protagonists of the FTSE MidCap, Alerion Clean Power (+3.95%), De Nora Industries (+2.85%), I believe (+1.82%) and Pharmanutra (+1.67%).
The worst performances, however, were recorded on Zignago Glasswhich closed at -4.03%.
Sharp drop for GVSwhich marks a -2.29%.
Under pressure Mondadoriwith a sharp decline of 2.00%.
