Part 4 was well received by audiences with tears of laughter and explosions, in which the unlikely police duo Mike (Will Smith) and Marcus (Martin Lawrence) stumble into the conspiracy of a drug cartel and become the hunted themselves. The success is reflected in the Rotten Tomatoes rating of 97% as well as the worldwide box office revenue of 400 million US dollars. Instead of the more famous Will Smith, Stephen King praises his comedic co-star, who has also been in the film since the first part, Bad Boys. It is not clear from his tweet whether the author is omitting Smith because of his Oscar scandal in order to avoid getting himself into trouble. But Martin Lawrence has apparently gained a famous fan.
