Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said yesterday that Ukraine has managed to capture 1,000 square kilometers of the Kursk region belonging to Russia. Governor of the Kursk region Alexei Smirnov said earlier on Monday that Ukraine has advanced 12 kilometers from the border to Russia and holds 28 residential areas.
