Now the Swede reveals the unknown words from the Chinese that arouse reactions.
It has been so incredibly exciting to follow young people Truls Möregårdhs progress during the summer Olympics in Paris. The 22-year-old made his Olympic debut in the very best way when he exceeded expectations for both Sweden and the entire table tennis world.
Trul’s big hit
After several successful matches in a row, he became the first Swede to an Olympic final in table tennis in 24 long years. Even in the team game, Truls helped write Swedish sports history when the blue and yellow team was involved Anton Källberg and Christian Karlsson also went all the way to the Olympic final, for the first time ever.

But both times, Möregårdh and Sweden had to settle for Olympic silver after losses against China. In both finals, Truls was pitted against the world star Damn Zhendong and both times the Swedish hit man lost.
Zhendong’s words
Two Olympic silvers, the 22-year-old should still be extremely proud of and look back at a fantastic Olympic debut that was praised throughout our long country. Now Möregårdh reveals exactly what Zhendong said to him after the Olympic final and it shows the greatest respect.
– I actually met him (Fan Zhendong) on the last day in the dining room at one in the morning. I sat and ate a slice of pizza with Kristian and then he came in. He was actually really nice and talked and said: “I was very lucky with you”. But I don’t believe that…, Truls tells SVT.
– He was probably just trying to be nice.

The opponent’s words about Truls Möregårdh evoke the finest reactions in Sweden and say a lot about Zhendong’s humility as an Olympic champion. The Swede also reveals what he needs to do to be able to defeat the Chinese in the future.
– Against him, I need to be a little stronger in the game. I think I get quite a lot of chances, but he’s good at taking my hard shots and getting into the ball, then I’m just a bit too weak. Yes, it really is, the double Olympic silver medalist admits to the television channel.
