Curator Lodewijk Gerretsen: “The decor has not changed, it is a seventeenth-century staircase with two beautiful seventeenth-century statues. And in between you can see the time changing beautifully. The oldest photo is from 1909 and the newest from 2024, with the volunteers of the castle. In the past, a professional photographer came, the one from the 1909 photo came all the way from Arnhem. Later, for example, it was an uncle with a camera.”
