RFI identifies best bidder for Rome’s Pigneto stop

RFI presents the Academy Technical Methodologies of the Infrastructure

(Telestock) – Italian Railway Network has identified the best bidder as Temporary Grouping of Companies consisting of MI.COS, MACEG, GEMA and SALCEF for the construction of the new interchange stop in Pigneto district in Rome. Value of the contract approximately 131 million euros.

The project includes, in a first phase to be completed in 2026, the construction of the stop on FL1/FL3 with partial transverse coverage of the ditch at the stop. In the next phase, to be completed by 2029, the completion of the ditch coverage is planned, with the opening of a new pedestrian square and the construction of the underpass connecting to the metro C.
