As a job seeker, you often go to a lot of job interviews in search of a new job. Going on a job interview can feel scary, nerve-wracking and stressful all at the same time. And sometimes it doesn’t go as planned, it can go much better or much worse.
It can then take a long time before you know whether you have progressed in the process. But there are hints that reveal how you are and whether you will get the job or not
News24 have talked to Peter LundgrenCEO of staffing company Clockwork, who tells you how you know if the job interview went well or poorly.

Signs that the job interview went well
There are several signs of a successful job interview that show up already during the interview. Lundgren tells Nyheter24 that a job interview where you have been able to answer the questions simply and genuinely is a sign of a successful job interview.
And if the employer starts asking questions about your immediate future, that’s even better.
– The sign that an interview has gone well is when the interviewer starts asking questions about references and availability in the weeks ahead. Even wondering if you have applied for other jobs can be a good sign, says Lundgren.

Signs that the interview went badly
Just as there are signs that show that an interview is successful, there are signs that show that an interview went less well.
One such is if the interview does not flow and you find it difficult to answer the questions that are asked.
– Silence is often a bad sign, says Petter Lundgren.
It can often take a while before you hear back after the interview, especially if you haven’t got the job.
– Few or no recruiters give information directly during the interview. Often they complete all interviews and some additional step in the process before contacting those who have not progressed. At this stage, ghosting can occur, one avoids answering, which is both bad behavior and a bad sign, says Lundgren.
