It is already known that viewers of I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here! will have to prepare for some changes in the summer edition of the show. But one change will completely change the jungle camp of legends and could take away any charm from the format.
Crazy episodes, no live show: Is that a reason not to tune in?
Every year, fans of the jungle camp look forward to two weeks in which they can watch ten celebrities thrown together as they are showered with cockroaches, crawl through a house full of intestines or have to eat questionable delicacies. Anyone who is looking forward to live pictures from the camp in the anniversary edition will unfortunately be bitterly disappointed this time. Because that is exactly the catch: The summer jungle camp was filmed weeks ago.
This means that viewers have no say in who is chosen for the jungle test and fans are no longer allowed to decide who stays on the show. Admittedly, this saves a lot of phone costs, but the fun of the show is probably lost. Fans are no longer allowed to vote for their show favoritesbut have to hope that their star can prevail against the others. The fact that viewers can have a say in a format and the small but subtle feeling of power that this creates has become a real rarity. There are only a few shows left, such as Celebrity Big Brother, where this is even possible, as most formats are filmed before they are broadcast.

The presenter duo of Jan Köppen and Sonja Zietlow will remain with the fans
Especially the live broadcasts directly from the Australian bush managed to get the audience a sense of communitythat kept him and her glued to the TV screens in their living rooms. It was almost like being there live as TV stars and starlets began the adventure of their lives.
Above all, authenticity is the be-all and end-all in reality TV and that is exactly what was delivered here. Fans could be sure that the scenes were not staged and that everything that was said was meant as it was. All of that is no longer the case with the new change in the upcoming special season.
The filmed episodes also offer plenty of room for spoilers. Yes, there are contractual penalties for the participants if something from the show is revealed before it is broadcast. But the past has shown once again that despite penalties, information can leak out to the public. There are already rumors circulating about who won the jungle camp of legends.
