During the weekend, changing weather is expected with rain, wind and sunshine at times. But next week the sun will return and bring temperatures of 20-25 degrees around the country.

It was a wet festival for those who were in Gothenburg at Way Out West yesterday.

– There was just over 30 mm during that day of rainfall. It’s a lot of rain, especially when it comes in a big city where the water has a harder time running away, says Therese Gadd, meteorologist at SMHI

During the rest of the weekend, it is expected to be very windy, especially in Götaland and Östra Svealand.

SMHI has issued a yellow warning for gales of 14-17 meters per second, on the water and along several coasts around the country.

– It can be a problem for leisure boats and commercial vessels. It can be good to stay updated on the forecast and see how it develops, says Therese Gadd.

In central and northern Norrland, you can count on occasional rain during the weekend, where it may locally be a little heavier in places.

But a high pressure is moving in over the country.

– At the beginning of next week, we will get a stabilization in the weather with a high pressure ridge that will start to grow in from the west. The wind will die down and the sun will have more space, says Gadd.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures between 20-25 degrees are expected in many parts of the country.
