  • More CSN debts with the Kronofogden

The cases of student debts with the Swedish Enforcement Agency have increased from 130,000 to 175,000 since the turn of the year, an increase of 35 percent, P3 Nyheter reports. Things like food, rent and electricity come before CSN debts, according to Davor Vuleta, personal finance spokesperson at the Kronofogden.

    – When things are tough financially, I think that CSN debts end up lower on the priority list, says Vuleta.

Additional reasons may be that CSN debts have a low interest rate and a long repayment period.
