The United States is giving Israel support for 3.5 billion dollars, or about 3.2 billion euros, reports the news channel CNN, citing its sources.
Israel is allowed to use the support for the acquisition of US weapons and defense equipment.
The US Congress had previously suspended aid to Israel, as civilian casualties caused by US weapons used by Israel in the Gaza war sparked criticism in the US Congress.
The US State Department informed Congress on Thursday night that the government plans to release billions of dollars in aid to Israel, CNN reported.
