The Spanish club Barcelona said that Dani Olmo’s contract has a buyout clause of 500 million euros.
The Spanish star who shone in this summer’s EC final tournament Dani Olmo moves from the German club RB Leipzig to the ranks of the Spanish giant Barcelona. Olmo’s contract covers six seasons, and according to media reports, the transfer amount is EUR 60 million.
Barcelona said that Olmo’s contract also has a buyout clause of 500 million euros.
Playing as an attacking midfielder, the 26-year-old Olmo rose to an important role as Spain won their record fourth European Championship in July. Olmo scored three goals in the playoffs.
Olmo, who has played in RB Leipzig since 2020, won the German Cup twice in the German club. Olmo was brought up in Barcelona, but he moved abroad already in 2014, when Croatian Dinamo Zagreb was chosen as his address.
German Hansi Flickin coached by Barcelona will start the Spanish league on August 17 against Valencia.
