The 31-year-old’s success has led to a lot of attention. Kim Ye-ji met the media in Imsil, South Korea, on Friday local time, after finishing second at the Paris Olympics – and fainted, only to be taken to hospital.
According to AFP, she should, under the circumstances, be fine.
– We have been informed by the doctors that she does not need intensive treatment, says a press spokesperson to AFP.
The news agency Reuters writes that she is in hospital for observation.
