A network of 27 space-sensing radars is planned for British Wales as part of the Aukus defense alliance between Britain, the United States and Australia, says The Guardian.
The network is supposed to detect and identify things from an altitude of about 36,000 kilometers. Satellites fly at this level, which are used, for example, for GPS positioning and communication.
The locals are against the construction of the 20-meter-high stilts. Steep cliffs are Pembrokeshire’s tourist asset.
