Medicana Health Group opened its new hospital in Istanbul. The hospital, built on an area of 38 thousand square meters in Zincirlikuyu, stands out with its new generation hospital architecture.
“WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO OFFER THIS HOSPITAL TO THE HEALTH SECTOR”
Medicana Health Group Board Member and CEO Reha Özkaya said, “This is the meeting point of the city and the continents. It is very important for us to provide health services to people who want to receive health services in the city center in a way that they can use their social security. We are very happy to offer this hospital to the health sector.”
“WE RECEIVE SERIOUS REQUESTS ABROAD FOR ORGANS AND BONE MARROW”
CEO Reha Özkaya stated that Medicana Zincirlikuyu Hospital will also make a great contribution to the country in terms of health tourism:
“Medicana Zincirlikuyu is a very important health base not only for Turkey but also for the world. It has a world-class physician staff and is equipped with the most up-to-date medical devices. A very comprehensive eye department has been established, many of our branches provide services with robotic surgery. There are many departments including plastic surgery and cosmetology. We are moving health to the center of Istanbul. In such a location, it is very important that we provide accessible health services for everyone with Medicana quality and experience. Being located at a point where airports and hotels can be easily reached is also a great advantage for our international patients. Medicana Zincirlikuyu is a hospital that will become a health center not only in Istanbul but also internationally with its location, architecture, academic staff and advanced health technology. I am proud to have brought Medicana Zincirlikuyu, which was prepared with this vision, to not only Turkey but also to the people of the whole world, and to contribute to our sector while creating employment for our country. We are receiving serious demand from abroad, especially for organ transplantation and bone marrow. Patients abroad have to wait a very long time for cancer surgery and tumor surgery. We accept these patients and ensure that they reach their hometowns safely.”
Referring to Medicana Health Group’s investments abroad, Özkaya said, “Medicana is a rapidly growing brand in the health sector. We continued our investments without a break even during the pandemic. After Ataköy, we opened our new hospital Medicana Zincirlikuyu 10 months later. We believe that we will start a new era in health in Turkey and the world with this big investment. In a few months, we will be opening our first investment in the Balkans, our hospital in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. They are eagerly waiting for us in the Balkans. There is almost no private hospital in Sarajevo. We will be the first as a Turkish investment. We are there not with commercial expectations, but because we know what a Turkish health institution means to the people there. Hopefully, we will open our hospital in October or November and provide health services.”
Providing information about other projects in Europe, Reha Özkaya said:
“We took over a hospital that provided service in England, and we will provide health services with new hospitals that we will open in different regions in England. We want Turkish investment to be seriously at the forefront in England. Our other investments will be in Germany. Then we will continue with Romania and Hungary. We aim to implement these projects by 2026. We want to make the voice of Turkish investors heard in Europe.”
