When Koenigsegg’s wealthy customers order their cars, they are often guided by making the cars as unique as possible. It is partly a question of uniqueness, and partly a question of increasing the car’s resale value.

The car in question is thus built in black carbon fiber with details in real gold. In total, it has extra equipment worth 501,000 dollars, equivalent to 5.2 million kroner.

The car has recently been serviced at a cost of SEK 200,000, which includes the cost of flying a technician from Ängelholm.

The name Regera comes, unsurprisingly, from the verb “to rule” which is indeed what the car intends to do.

The Regera is by definition a plug-in hybrid and the power comes from a 5-liter twin-turbo V8 that pumps out over 1,000 horsepower and an electric motor that contributes around 700 horsepower. The total system output is 1,781 horsepower.

This Koenigsegg Regera will go under the hammer on August 16th in Monterey, California, USA.

It is expected to go for between 2.75 and 3.25 million dollars, corresponding to 28.8 million to 34 million kroner
