Few incidents between wolves and humans worldwide: ‘Situation in Utrecht unique’

Few incidents between wolves and humans worldwide Situation in Utrecht

A Norwegian report shows that in Germany, Spain, Italy and Eastern Europe there have been no human-wolf incidents with fatal outcomes this millennium. They do describe two incidents in the 1970s and 1950s in Europe and an incident in Alaska in 2000. The researchers report that the risk of a wolf bite incident, let alone a fatal incident, is not zero, but also say that the risk is far too small to calculate.
