They have turned the goat cheese factory in Kalix into popular tourist accommodation

You can probably call them a bit of a multitasker, Jaana Alamäki Enström and her husband Knut Enström. For a few years now, they have added another source of income on the farm in Bondersbyn by the Kalixälven. They rent out a house on the grounds and two apartments in the old goat cheese factory inside the village.

– We wanted to share this beauty and we like to meet people, says Jaana Alamäki Enström.

Surrounded by various animals

Until two years ago, they ran a goat farm with goat cheese production. Some of the goats remain on the farm where they coexist with horses, rabbits, dogs, cats and chickens.

– It is above all families with children who apply for our accommodation and then people who want to rent accommodation for a while and work from there remotely, says Jaana.

Focuses on personal experience

Jaana and Knut like to show off the surroundings and tell their visitors about the area.

– We have also noticed that it is the personal meeting that makes our visitors give us that extra star in the rating on the booking site, says Knut Enström.
