(Telestock) – The Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, and the CEO of Snam , Stefano Veniersigned today at the Ministry of the Interior a protocol to prevent and combat the risk of infiltration by organised crime into the activities that characterise the core business of the Snam Group.
The agreement, which fits in in a broader country system strategy and public-private partnership, strengthens cooperation on a national scale in matters of public safety and legality to ensure ever greater protection of the legal economy, also in consideration of the commitment ensured by the Company for the creation, in the coming years, of important strategic works, some of which in implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
The collaboration between the Ministry of the Interior and Snam – explains the note – It also aims to achieve more effective prevention of threats to the security of essential infrastructure for the Italian gas system as well as irregularities in personnel management and contract awarding. The establishment of a control room is planned, composed of representatives of the Ministry of the Interior and Snam, which will ensure a constant exchange of information between the parties and will monitor the implementation status of the agreement.
In implementation ofin the agreement they may also be stipulated, with the same objectives, local level protocols between Snam and Prefectures, taking into account the peculiarities of each territory where the company operates.
