Work has begun on the TV series John Wick: Under the High Table, which will take place after John Wick 4.
According to Deadline, John Wick: Chapter 4 is continuing in the form of a new action series called John Wick: Under the High Table.
John Wick: Under the High Table Is Coming as a TV Series
According to Deadline, the series “picks up immediately after the end of John Wick: Chapter 4. John Wick left the world of the High Table in a weak position, and while some of the series’ stalwarts remain committed to the old world order, a host of new characters will attempt to make a name for themselves.” Under the High Table aims to combine the new and the old and bring the Wick universe into a new era.
Series star Keanu Reeves will executive produce the project, while Chad Stahelski, who directed all four films, will helm the pilot. Robert Levine, creator of The Old Man, starring Jeff Bridges, is on board as the screenwriter.
The series isn’t the series’ first small-screen adventure. The Continental, a prequel series that tells the story of how Winston came to run the Continental’s New York branch, was released last year. There’s also a fifth John Wick movie in development, and Ballerina, set between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4, is set for release in 2025. So while things aren’t looking good for John at the end of Chapter 4, there’s still plenty more action and death to come.
John Wick: Under the High Table does not yet have a release date.
