The Swedish megastar’s plans do not include jumping at the Olympic Stadium in the match against Sweden at the end of the month.

PARIS. Armand Duplantis got his deserved second Olympic gold around his neck on Tuesday at the Stade de France before the start of the evening competitions. ME jump 625 and a huge 30 cent profit margin for the USA to Sam Kendricks make the Swede one of the most dominant winners of the Olympic Games.

Less than three weeks after the Olympic Games, on Friday, August 30, Duplantis would have an opportunity representation in Helsinki, where he is very much wanted by both the Finnish and Swedish sports federations. The former hopes for this for financial reasons, the latter for sporting reasons.

Watch Duplantis’ ME jump in the video below:

Duplantis would be a huge attraction at the Olympic Stadium in the national match against Sweden, but the megastar poured cold water on the Finns’ necks after the award ceremony when Urheilu asked about it.

– I’m hardly coming (to Helsinki). It’s not absolutely certain, but I strongly doubt it, Duplantis said.

He has never competed against Finland in a national match for the Finnish chamber, but has represented Sweden in Stockholm in 2023 and 2019 and in the boys’ national match in 2015. In Finland, Duplantis competed in the Youth World Championships in Tampere 2018.

The lack of interest of the Swedish-American, who has already improved the pole vault ME for the 9th time in Paris, can be found in the international competition calendar. Men’s pole vault is included in the program of the Diamond League in no less than four of the remaining five competitions of the season: in Lausanne on August 22, in Silesia on August 25, in Zurich on September 5 and in Brussels on 13-14.
