US presidential candidate Kamala Harris has chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her vice presidential candidate.
Minnesota Governor Walz is considered one of the rising stars within the party with his dynamic and aggressive nature. After Republican opponent Donald Trump chose JD Vance from Ohio for the vice presidential nomination, Walz is seen as a name who can compete fiercely with Vance and gain the trust of the middle class.
The Democratic Party will officially announce its presidential and vice presidential candidates at the party convention to be held in Chicago from August 19-22.
