Heili Sirviö has finished fifth in the women’s park final of the Olympic figure skating. 13-year-old Sirviö is the youngest Finnish Olympic athlete in history and was also the youngest participant in the final. The average age of the finalists was 16.5 years.
Sirviö managed to make a clean performance in his last run. He launched a more challenging boardslide into a fakie, i.e. a weaker leg first landing, and proceeded to do a fakie to fakie 540 trick that no one else in the competition did.
Sirviö earned 88.89 points for his performance, which put him in fifth place.

In his first two runs, Sirviö fell to his knees after the rail in the very last seconds of his performance. Sirviö scored 71.40 for his first run and 71.56 for the second.
An Australian 14-year-old won the Olympic gold Arisa Trew, who is Sirviö’s best friend. The duo cuddled and hugged each other after their final performances.
The Japanese took the silver Cocona Hiraki15, and bronze Brit Sky Brown16.
