Israeli warplanes flew low over Beirut ahead of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah’s speech at 17:00.
After the low flight, the warplanes broke the sound barrier and fired two consecutive sonic booms.
It was reported that the windows of some houses in Dahiyeh, south of Beirut, known as Hezbollah’s stronghold, were broken.
In images shared on social media, it was stated that citizens in Beirut could see warplanes firing sonic booms with the naked eye.
ATTACK ON ISRAEL BASE
On the other hand, in a statement made by Hezbollah in Lebanon, it was announced that two military bases near the city of Akka in northern Israel were attacked with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and a military vehicle was also attacked. It was stated that the military bases targeted were the headquarters of the Golani Brigade and the headquarters of Egoz Unit 621 in the Shraga barracks north of Akka.
It was learned that the targeted military bases were approximately 20 kilometers away from the border.
“We have not yet responded to the assassination of Commander Fuad Shukr,” a Hezbollah source told Reuters.
