Star Wars Outlaws Is Coming With A Special Mode That

Star Wars Outlaws introduces a special mod to address the oft-discussed issue of yellow paint markings in games.

Star Wars Outlaws team has found a solution to the long-standing ‘yellow paint’ debate in video games. This debate concerns markers in games that show players where to go next. Outlaws will have a special mode that addresses this issue.

Star Wars Outlaws’ Solution to the Yellow Paint Controversy in Games

Many video games use yellow paint or brightly colored markers to show players directions. For example, yellow or white lines on the side of a cliff, yellow drainpipes on a building, or yellow markings on windows show players where to go. These markings are considered a useful accessibility tool for many players.

Star Wars Outlaws also features a similar pathfinder system, but it offers players the option to disable it. This feature offers an experience similar to Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which was released in 2018. The game allowed for the ability to independently adjust the difficulty of puzzles, traversal, and combat. When you set traversal to easy mode, white markers would appear on the path Lara needed to follow. However, when you increase the difficulty, these markers would disappear.
